Who can Apply?

Gyanoday engages volunteers from different backgrounds, exhibiting different skills in its various projects and campaigns. By volunteering with us, you will become a vital part in making a real difference to the lives of the underprivileged children and their families.

1. Individuals above the age of 18.

2. Student / Working professional within the above age limit.

3. Fluency in English and Hindi.

4. Passionate towards volunteering.

5. Commitment of atleast 8 hours per week for a period of minimum 3 months.

Volunteering with Gyanoday, can be a rewarding experience that helps make a difference in the lives of young learners. However, there are certain requirements that volunteers should meet in order to ensure they can effectively contribute to the organization’s mission. Some potential requirements for volunteering with Gyanoday could include:

  1. Age: Volunteers should be at least 18 years old or have parental consent if under 18.

  2. Education: While not mandatory, a basic education is preferred as the focus of the NGO is to help underprivileged children get an education. Depending on the type of volunteering opportunity, specific educational qualifications may be required.

  3. Skills and Experience: Gyanoday welcomes volunteers with a wide range of skills and experiences, including teaching, tutoring, mentoring, event organizing, fundraising, and administration. Potential volunteers should review the specific requirements for the opportunity they are interested in to see if their skills and experience match.

  4. Time Commitment: Gyanoday values volunteers who are committed to making a long-term impact. Depending on the specific opportunity, volunteers may be required to commit to a minimum number of hours per week or month.

  5. Background Checks: Depending on the type of volunteering opportunity, background checks may be required for the safety of the children and the organization.

  6. Training: Volunteers may be required to attend training sessions to understand the mission and values of Gyanoday, learn about the specific needs of the children they will be working with, and develop skills to be an effective volunteer.

  7. Language Skills: As Gyanoday is based in India, volunteers should be proficient in English and/or the local language in the region where they will be volunteering.
