Journey from ruptured dreams towards a bright futu Journey from ruptured dreams towards a bright future!

Success stories and smiling faces are what preserves our enthusiasm for the work we do at Gyanoday and keeps us immersed in the process of giving away more.

Today we have another prominent success story worth sharing.

Let us introduce you to Rajesh Srivastava, one of our students from Dayal Gyanoday Vatika. Rajesh has a good track record in his academics and wishes to be a Chartered Accountant someday.

Let’s take a look at his past life. Rajesh lost his father at quite an early age. He and his family of 6 that includes him, his mother and his 4 siblings were devastated at the loss of their father at this early age with no other working family member left. While the chances of gathering the basic necessities for continuing livelihood were shallow on their part, pursuing education was a far distant dream to chase for Rajesh.

The only earning member in Rajesh’s family is his mother who works in a shop to sustain the family. They still belong to a part of the society with no electricity connection.

Rajesh joined hands with Gyanoday 7 years back with the hope of chasing his dream of becoming a Chartered Accountant and for supporting his family. Rajesh has always been thorough in his academics and his dedication towards studies enabled him to get enrolled for our scholarship program. Currently he is also pursing computer education from Vocational training centre at Dayal Gyanoday Vatika.

Gyanoday encourages students like Rajesh by providing them a fair opportunity and necessary platform to educate themselves and realise their dreams. We wish Rajesh all the very best in his future endeavors.

Greetings of International Olympic day to all! To Greetings of International Olympic day to all!

Today on the occasion of international Olympic day, Gyanoday wishes all our followers, well-wishers and our children with good health and fortune.

We celebrate today’s day to commemorate the foundation of the international olympic committee. Sporting activities have significant impact on our lives as it brings us together and unites us irrespective of our faith, ethnicity and region. Sports promotes the spirit of good health, positivity and solidarity, the major factors we lack in today’s world and strive for.

With significant breakthroughs in medical science, we have been able to combat many deadly diseases, yet we fail to maintain a spirit of good health and positivity. Our self centered approach and our inseparable digital life, often tends to take us adrift of our natural life and how we should be.

Realisation is the initial step towards better health. At Gyanoday we encourage our students to maintain a positive stature by participating in sports and events alongside their educational activities. We aim towards creating better and social beings for tomorrow.

Like and share if you agree with us. Help us promote and spread our words.

As Indian’s, we are amidst a transformational ph As Indian’s, we are amidst a transformational phase. While we have recently experienced major developments in terms of technology and lifestyle, we are yet to arrive at a resolution in terms of the major socio-economic issues. One such major areas to address is education and education for girl child to be exact.

Gyanoday has always been at the forefront of the education system and our prime mission is to make education available to the underprivileged masses who cannot afford it due to family conditions. Yet through our years of involvement in the education sector, we have regrettably experienced the lack of interest among our people towards the importance of education for girl child as well.

Today, while we argue about equality for all and women empowerment, a major part of our society is still ignorant enough to realise the importance of education for their girl child.

The need of the hour is for us to realise the importance of education for all including girl child and women. Our self sufficient nature and thoughts aren’t going to sustain us for long if we tend to create a hindrance to the socio-economic development of our nation. We are together as a country and it is our joint efforts that’s going to decide our future in the long run.

While Gyanoday regularly carries out campaigns to promote the importance of education for all, it is going to require a slight push together as a nation to catalyze our socio-economic growth.

What’s your verdict on the education of girl child and women? Comment yes if you agree to our thoughts.

Like and share our post and help us reach out to more and more people out there.

Upsides to the act of giving. We are part of a na Upsides to the act of giving.

We are part of a nation that has been at an all time low in terms of implementing education as a priority. Thanks to the poor education system, we have already seen a steep fall in India’s GDP in the past year. It is needless to explain the consequences.

As individuals and part of the nation, it is our responsibility to take control of the situation with a little awareness and negligible donations to the right sources. We need not forget that there isn’t a chance for self improvement without thorough education of the masses.

Gyanoday has always been at the forefront of the education system and we contribute our best to the underprivileged masses through our Vatikas and allow them the chance to be a part of the mainstream education system through our scholarship programs. Though Gyanoday is just an initiative to educate the masses and no initiative is complete without active participation of the society.

Here’s why you should donate and join hands with Gyanoday:

1. Your future and personal growth depends on the growth of the nation which is incomplete without active awareness campaigns and thorough participation at the educational front.

2. Every small donation counts and can help us take small steps to finally make an impact on the system in the longer run. Hence a win-win situation on both ends.

3. You get to create a sustainable future for yourself and your beloved through your noble act of kindness. A mass change demands mass action and without active participation the impact remains unrecognized.

4. It never depends on how much you donate but your initiative to participate in such a burning issue will make you feel proud of your judgement at some point in time.

5. Not to forget your rewards that you receive in the form of tax exemptions when you make a donation to us.

A recap of our summer camp activities. Today we A recap of our summer camp activities.

Today we are going to keep it brief with a glance at the activities we conducted during the past days since the inception of our summer camp.

The activities that our children were introduced to were morning exercises, yoga and asanas followed by some simple and tasty breakfast preparation techniques along with breakfast ofcourse. Not to forget the fun our teachers and students had while they cooked up some maggi noodles together and celebrated the day as a short picnic event minimizing the gaps between teachers and students.

Furthermore, we had fun loving art and craft sessions - the all time favorites of our children, with some additional artwork demonstration to the children by our teachers.

The moral of the post is that at Gyanoday every single exercise or event that our children and teachers are made to participate in are planned meticulously keeping into account the brighter aspects of each event. While studies and education are important to each and every children, so is the importance of a healthy mind, body and soul. Our constant efforts lie in creating and planning programs that help our children in all aspects of their life.

Summer school activities from Dehradun --> The su Summer school activities from Dehradun -->

The summer camp activities are turning out fun for both our teachers as well as our students. We thought why not take the ideas and start implementing on our other Vatikas.

As a result, today we planned on executing the same basic approach with our Bindal Bridge Vatika from Dehradun whereby we let our children decide on the kind of activities that they would like to get themselves indulged in.

As we anticipated already, the majority vote was in favor of arts and crafts. Children and art are such inseparable entities afterall!

What followed next is the outcome in the form of the snaps we share today.

At Gyanoday, we inspire our children to follow their passion and think outside the box enabling them to get a step closer to their dreams.

Let us know which artwork is your favorite from today's snaps.

A big reason for motivation! This is Nisha, a fir A big reason for motivation!

This is Nisha, a first year B.A student from Ismail National Mahila Degree College Meerut. Nisha is associated with Gyanoday since her 11th standard.

Nisha belongs from an underprivileged family and the only source of their family income was her mother who used to be a house maid. While Nisha was pursuing her education in the 10th standard, she had to support her mother with her housemaid work as that used to be the only supporting pillar for her and her family. Watch as Nisha explains her nightmares of not being able to continue with her education after 10th standard.

Luckily Gyanoday is there on the lookout for such aspiring students like Nisha who have high hopes for their career. Gyanoday joined hands with Nisha after her 10th standard and we helped her through her academics and provided her with all the necessary education and support and enabled her to pursue her much aspired higher education.

Gyanoday not only helped her pursue computer courses after her 12th standard but we also became a huge factor of motivation for her keeping her hopes alive.

Today Nisha is a 1st year BA student from Ismail National Mahila Degree College Meerut and we at Gyanoday are certain of her success in career. We have our eyes on her and we hope to come back soon with a later version of her story.

Watch as Nisha explains the pain points in her educational journey provided her family background and how Gyanoday helped her with her education inspite of her family ties.

Please like and share her story.

Many children like Nisha lose track of their careers and their dreams due to their family situations. Gyanoday is on a lookout for such aspiring minds and with little help and motivation we can be a guiding factor to many more children like Nisha.

Summer Camp - Day 4 As we close in with the day 4 Summer Camp - Day 4

As we close in with the day 4 of our summer camp, we are gradually stepping on the fun part and introducing newer and better habits to our children.

We kick started todays day in a rather different manner than the rest of the days. Studies, sharp mind and concentration are factors that are hard to achieve these days, thanks to countless digital equipments and accessible platforms through the so called devices that in one way or the other tends to create a state of restlessness in us.

Mindfulness helps us achieve mental clarity and calms our brain, thus relieving our burdened minds off chronic stress patterns.
Yoga has always served as a practice that is known to improve our mental well being. Without any further ado, we introduced our children to yoga through a brief session involving some basic postures. Let us know the one of your preference from the video.

Once off with Yoga, we thought of pumping up the fun a little further with some gymnastics later down the day. Watch the video and let us know your verdict.

A healthy body and a positive mind is what raises a positive minded and confident individual who reserves the power of changing the course of how our society functions and steer it towards a better path. With the same goals set as ever, we at Gyanoday are hell bent to give our children the best and make the opportunities available to all the underprivileged children with high hopes and aims to do something out of the box.

If you may have any better ideas to share with us that can promote mindfulness, we are all ears.

Summer Camp - Day 3 We are at day 3 of our summer Summer Camp - Day 3

We are at day 3 of our summer camp at Gyanoday. Today’s day was rather calm and fun in a different way as our faculties and students indulged themselves in lunch cooked by our teachers and some fun games to make the day even more memorable.

During the later part of the day our students got involved in their favourite art and craft projects and the outcomes are pretty noticeable than those during normal school days.

As we tread down the line with our summer camp at Gyanoday, we see our decisions and assumptions bearing fruits and coming to life. As of the final verdict, on the third day of our student - teacher association in the event of our summer camp, we have been able to minimise the barriers between our teachers and students. Socialising and daily associations have enabled our teachers to explore further into the lives of our children and develop better understanding of their mentality, likes and dislikes.

This is a huge step towards the development on both ends for our teachers and fellow students. We will be looking forward to make the most of the summer camp days and plan ahead of schedule to ensure maximum benefits for our children.

Have better ideas for personal development? Feel free to share with us in the comments.
